Little questions:

Is Sarah Little really your REAL name?

No! It’s not. but shhh. don’t tell anyone! My real name is actually Sarah Hausler – but that’s the name I use for my other work – so I thought I’d find a better name for all the awesome books I plan to write. Naturally, I chose Sarah for my first name – of course, but I then chose Little as my last name as it’s the last name of my lovely Nan and Pa. It’s especially special to me as they’re both no longer with us here on Earth, and also my Nana was a big influence in my early reading years. So this name is as much about her as it is about me.

How many books do you buy every year.

Too many. I’ll be speaking to my Mum soon about increasing my pocket money to cover my book buying habit. Next question please.

What was your favourite book when you were a child?

Sweet Valley Twins. I’m a total Elizabeth. Actually I’m an Elizabeth who secretly wanted to be a Jessica. (But now that I’m older I’m glad I’m an Elizabeth!)

What was your favourite book as an adult?

The Harry Potter books. Yes, I was an adult when the first one was released. Yes. I am THAT old!!

Who’s your favourite book character?

Lizzie Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.

Are you going to answer any questions that aren’t about books?

Ermmm, I will if you ask me one…

Okay, smartypants. What’s your favourite colour?

Red.

And your favourite food?

Citrus tarts.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Either a teacher, a hairdresser or a Pizza Hut waitress. I became none of those things.

Why do you write books?

Because it’s the best job in the world.

My book is NOT moving along…

Every time someone asks me lately “How’s the book coming along?” I have to answer “it’s not!” - because that’s the unfortunate truth. But a big reason why my middle grade novel is on the back burner has been this creation - my day-job baby, the Well Girls pre-puberty...

Imposter Alert!

Here I am. Announcing myself to the world as an author, currently working on my debut children’s novel.
